Amanda

I graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 2012 with an Associate’s degree and a certificate in Dental Assisting. I wanted to work in the dental field as far back as I can remember. My goal is to help continue to promote the dental experience as a most positive, comfortable, and routine part of healthcare. I joined the Dental Touch family in August 2022 and consider myself truly lucky to be a part of a practice that shares the same passion for patient care.

My husband and I have two kids, a daughter and son, and reside in a small town west of Cedar Rapids and in the heart of Benton County. Our days now often consist of watching the kids in many extracurricular activities. In our downtime, we find peace and happiness when we connect with the great outdoors and in all seasons of the year. Our favorite activities include, hiking, fishing, kayaking, camping, and bike riding. In summer 2022 we ventured out to Montana via Amtrak to explore Glacier National Park. It was an experience I will treasure for life and hope to return someday.

Molly

I started at Dental Touch Associates in February of 1998. I received my dental hygiene degree from Hawkeye Community College. As a dental hygienist, I love getting to know my patients and working together to achieve good oral hygiene.

I have been married to my husband, Bret, since 2001. We have two boys, Parker (2004) and Carson (2006). When I’m not watching their activities, I love to work out, read fiction, and enjoy the summertime!

Susan

I joined the Dental Touch team in 2002 fresh out of Kirkwood Community College’s Dental Hygiene program. I was fortunate to be hired by such a great patient-centered office. Over the years, I have gained a broad range of experience and expanded my education beyond expectations. Dr. McLaughlin believes in the healing power of the Dental Hygienist. He has invested countless hours of intensive training in our staff for diode lasers, local anesthesia, micro-ultrasonic scalers, 3D cone beam scans, and digital x-rays. Working at this office has allowed us to provide some of the most advanced science-based patient care in the area. I love being able to provide this level of care to all of my patients on a daily basis.

I was born and raised with my four sisters in the Cedar Rapids area. My husband and I feel fortunate to be able to stay in a community where we can be close to both of our families. I attended the University of Iowa before starting their Dental Hygiene program. My husband and I have two adorable boys that love to do it all, and chronically keep us busy on our nights and weekends. We also have the cutest Cavapoo dog named Flash, named after our favorite superhero. Flash rarely gets left out and gets to join us for many of our kids’ sports activities as well as weekend adventures. During our free weekends, we enjoy spending time at Lake Delhi, tending to our acreage, hiking, traveling, and watching sporting events.

Angie

I received my Dental Hygiene degree from Hawkeye Community College and graduated in 2008. I joined the Dental Touch family in September 2021 and feel like I have become a part of my forever “work home”. The long-term goals of Dental Touch are right in-line with what I feel is important, which is continuing our education so we can go above and beyond the standard of care.

I have been in the Cedar Rapids area since 2003 and this is where I met my husband (Reed). We have been happily married since 2011. We have two kids, Dace and Alianna. They both keep us very busy with softball, baseball, and basketball! We also are a dog-loving family! We have a Mini Aussiedoodle (Jordee) and a Sheepadoodle (Rylee). I love being a mom, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, reading, and camping with my family!

Haley

I grew up in the Cedar Rapids area and graduated from Linn Mar in 2017. I went to Hawkeye Community College and graduated as a registered dental hygienist in 2021. Following my graduation from Hawkeye Community College, I joined the Dental Touch Team.

Working at Dental Touch was my dream goal. Growing up as a Dental Touch patient, I was excited to be part of such an awesome team of people. I love helping educate others about proper oral hygiene alongside the same team that took such great care of me for so many years. While not at work, I love to hang out with family and friends.

Sara

I am originally from the small town of Rockwell, IA. I attended DMACC in Ankeny and graduated in 2014 with a degree in Dental Hygiene. That same year, I moved to Cedar Rapids, and I have been practicing dental hygiene in this area ever since.

I started at Dental Touch in May 2022 and feel so lucky to have found a fun, positive, and goal-oriented office! Not only do my coworkers create an upbeat work environment, but our patients are great to get to know on a personal level while helping them to achieve their optimal dental health.

I have one daughter, Serenity, who stays busy with soccer and piano. We have 2 cats and 3 backyard chickens. In my free time, I enjoy camping, hiking, and going to the movies.

Lauren

I graduated from Kirkwood Community College in December of 2020 with an Associate of Applied Science degree and a diploma in Dental Assisting. Once out of school I furthered my education and now have my expanded functions. I joined the Dental Touch Associates team in August of 2022. I love being able to work with such a supportive and upbeat team who all have the same goals to help others achieve their dental needs.

In my free time, I love snowboarding, watching the Vikings, and hanging out with my pets. I have two dogs and two cats.

Jeff

I have been very fortunate to be a team member at Dental Touch Associates since August of 1999. I received my education from Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo in 1999, and after graduating, I continued to further my education by attending the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.

The most enjoyable part of working at Dental Touch is not only to help our patients feel comfortable while coming to see us for their dental needs but for them to have a fun, relaxed experience that will change their view on dentistry. I love calling Dental Touch Associates my “JOB” because it’s a fun place to come and be with great people that feel just like family.

When I am not at work, I enjoy coaching my kids in sports and helping them grow to be great individuals. I have two amazing, fun, energetic boys that kick my butt in today’s video games. I have a wonderful wife, Karrie. When I am not with them, I enjoy golfing, competing in triathlons, and brewing beer.

Kim

I was born and raised in Cedar Rapids. I earned a diploma in Dental Assisting from Kirkwood in 1999 and graduated with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Dental Lab Technology in 2001. I continued my education even further to become one of the first Expanded Functions Dental Assistants back in 2005. For the last 20 years, I have been in the Cedar Rapids area, and in May 2021 I was blessed with the opportunity to join the Dental Touch team.

My husband (Craig) and I met in 2014 at a Rough Riders hockey game. We share 3 children together, Violet, Jack, and Owen. On days that we are not running kids to an activity, we like to spend time with family and friends & do anything outdoors. I enjoy camping, fishing, cooking/baking (which my family and coworkers love), and doing little projects around the house.

I have had a love for dentistry for as long as I can remember, even doing College of Dentistry visits back in middle school. Smiling is proven to change one’s body chemistry, and I love being a part of making beautiful smiles and improving one’s self-esteem in the process!

Donna

I am a registered dental assistant and have been the patient coordinator for Dental Touch Associates since April of 2018. I have always been interested in dentistry and graduated from the dental assisting program at Kirkwood Community College.

It is great to be a part of a positive, friendly environment that really makes dentistry fun! I enjoy getting to know our patients and watching them leave happy and with more confidence than when they walked in. I truly believe that a beautiful smile can make a positive difference in a person’s life.

My husband and I have three daughters, four chickens, and a dog that keep us busy. In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family, camping when weather permits, and going to the movies.

Jen

I received my education from Kirkwood Community College and have been in dentistry for eight years. I joined Dental Touch Associates in March of 2024 as a patient coordinator, responsible for greeting patients, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, managing documents and referrals, verifying insurance and payments, and handling other similar tasks.

My favorite aspect of my job is interacting with patients, driven by my passion for helping others, and I firmly believe that our strong team dynamic sets our practice apart. Outside of dentistry, my other passion lies with animals. If I weren’t here, I’d dedicate myself to building an animal sanctuary, providing a home for all the animals nobody wants, especially the dogs!

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, immersing myself in nature, visiting wineries, and indulging in my love for hockey by watching “All the hockey.”
