I graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 2012 with an Associate’s degree and a certificate in Dental Assisting. I wanted to work in the dental field as far back as I can remember. My goal is to help continue to promote the dental experience as a most positive, comfortable, and routine part of healthcare. I joined the Dental Touch family in August 2022 and consider myself truly lucky to be a part of a practice that shares the same passion for patient care.
My husband and I have two kids, a daughter and son, and reside in a small town west of Cedar Rapids and in the heart of Benton County. Our days now often consist of watching the kids in many extracurricular activities. In our downtime, we find peace and happiness when we connect with the great outdoors and in all seasons of the year. Our favorite activities include, hiking, fishing, kayaking, camping, and bike riding.
I started at Dental Touch Associates in February of 1998. I received my dental hygiene degree from Hawkeye Community College. As a dental hygienist, I love getting to know my patients and working together to achieve good oral hygiene.
I have been married to my husband, Bret, since 2001. We have two boys, Parker (2004) and Carson (2006). When I’m not watching their activities, I love to work out, read fiction, and enjoy the summertime!
I joined the Dental Touch team in 2002 fresh out of Kirkwood Community College’s Dental Hygiene program. I was fortunate to be hired by such a great patient-centered office. Over the years, I have gained a broad range of experience and expanded my education beyond expectations. the doctors at Dental Touch believe in the healing power of the Dental Hygienist. They have invested countless hours of intensive training in our staff for diode lasers, local anesthesia, micro-ultrasonic scalers, 3D cone beam scans, and digital x-rays. Working at this office has allowed us to provide some of the most advanced science-based patient care in the area. I love being able to provide this level of care to all of my patients on a daily basis.
I was born and raised with my four sisters in the Cedar Rapids area. My husband and I feel fortunate to be able to stay in a community where we can be close to both of our families. I attended the University of Iowa before starting their Dental Hygiene program. My husband and I have two adorable boys that love to do it all, and chronically keep us busy on our nights and weekends. We also have the cutest Cavapoo dog named Flash, named after our favorite superhero. Flash rarely gets left out and gets to join us for many of our kids’ sports activities as well as weekend adventures. During our free weekends, we enjoy spending time at Lake Delhi, tending to our acreage, hiking, traveling, and watching sporting events.
I earned my dental hygiene degree from Hawkeye Community College in 2008. I joined the Dental Touch family in September 2021, and that’s when I became part of my forever “work home.” The long-term goals of Dental Touch align with my values as a dental professional, which include continuing our education to go above and beyond the standard of care.
I have been in the Cedar Rapids area since 2003. My family includes my husband, Reed, our two kids, Dace and Alianna, and our mini aussiedoodle, Jordee. They keep us very busy with softball, baseball, volleyball, and basketball. I love being a mom, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes in all athletic activities, and reading when I find time! I look forward to meeting you!
I grew up in the Cedar Rapids area and graduated from Linn Mar in 2017. I went to Hawkeye Community College and graduated as a registered dental hygienist in 2021. Following my graduation from Hawkeye Community College, I joined the Dental Touch Team.
Working at Dental Touch was my dream goal. Growing up as a Dental Touch patient, I was excited to be part of such an awesome team of people. I love helping educate others about proper oral hygiene alongside the same team that took such great care of me for so many years. While not at work, I love to hang out with family and friends.
I am originally from the small town of Rockwell, IA. I attended DMACC in Ankeny and graduated in 2014 with a degree in Dental Hygiene. That same year, I moved to Cedar Rapids, and I have been practicing dental hygiene in this area ever since.
Joining Dental Touch in May 2022 has been a blessing, and I am lucky to have found a fun, positive, and goal-oriented office! Not only do my coworkers create an upbeat work environment, but our patients are great to get to know personally while helping them achieve their optimal dental health.
My daughter, Serenity, has enjoyed playing piano for several years and likes to stay active by trying out different activities and playing with our two cats. In our free time, we enjoy outdoor adventures such as camping, kayaking, or tubing down the Upper Iowa River.
I graduated from Kirkwood Community College in December of 2020 with an Associate of Applied Science degree and a diploma in Dental Assisting. Once out of school I furthered my education and now have my expanded functions. I joined the Dental Touch Associates team in August of 2022. I love being able to work with such a supportive and upbeat team who all have the same goals to help others achieve their dental needs.
In my free time, I love snowboarding, working on house projects, and hanging out with my pets. I have three dogs and two cats.
I have been very fortunate to be a team member at Dental Touch Associates since August of 1999. I received my education from Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo in 1999, and after graduating, I continued to further my education by attending the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.
The most enjoyable part of working at Dental Touch is not only to help our patients feel comfortable while coming to see us for their dental needs but for them to have a fun, relaxed experience that will change their view on dentistry. I love calling Dental Touch Associates my “JOB” because it’s a fun place to come and be with great people that feel just like family.
When I am not working, I enjoy being outside playing golf, biking, and spending time with my kids. I also enjoy competing in triathlons and brewing beer.
I am a registered dental assistant and have been the patient coordinator for Dental Touch Associates since April of 2018. I have always been interested in dentistry and graduated from the dental assisting program at Kirkwood Community College.
It is great to be a part of a positive, friendly environment that really makes dentistry fun! I enjoy getting to know our patients and watching them leave happy and with more confidence than when they walked in. I truly believe that a beautiful smile can make a positive difference in a person’s life.
My husband and I have three daughters and two dogs, which keep us busy. In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family, camping when the weather permits, and reading.
I joined the Dental Touch Associates team in October of 2024 as a patient Coordinator. I was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, and I am a Jefferson grad. I spent two years studying public health at the University of Northern Iowa and I am passionate about supporting the health and well-being of the community around me. I enjoyed spending quality time building relationships with my friends and family. Outside of work, I love to be in nature any chance I can whether it’s swimming, climbing, exploring new trails. I am also fascinated by storytelling in any form; you can find me listening to new music, movies, books, podcasts, going to the theater, etc. I am eager to build new relationships with our patients and can’t wait to hear your stories.
I attended Kirkwood Community College where I received my Dental Assisting degree in 1994, I also received a certificate in Orthodontic Assisting in the Early 2000’s and my Expanded Functions Certificate in 2005. I enjoy bringing smiles to patients faces, making them feel welcome and comfortable while being in treatment.
My husband Mike and I have lived in the area since 1992, and married in 1996. We have 3 beautiful children, twin Girls, Grace and Kayla (2002) and a one son, Carter (2003). We also have 2 dogs, Cockapoo named Charli, and a Cavapoo named Reggie, they both keep us laughing at their silly antics.
With being in the “empty nest” stage, boredom overtook me and that’s when I decided to return to the dental field full time. My employment opportunity at Dental Touch landed in my lap in October 2024. With these caring, knowledgeable, fun loving co-workers, I feel this is a place that I can call “home” until I reach my retirement.
When I’m not enjoying time with friends and family, I love being outside, gardening, feeding the birds, playing with the dogs, riding bike. When I cannot be outside, I love to bake. make my own candles, and travel
FANTASTIC! They helped my 2 month old with his tongue, lip, cheek ties, and immediately made a huge difference in all the areas he was struggling. He is even happier and far less fussy- he’s finally slept good for the first time in his short 11 weeks of life! Couldn’t be happier I was referred to them, and for their help with my little guy!

This is a great dental office. Everyone is very friendly and professional. They take the time to explain everything and don’t make me feel rushed when I have questions. Dr. Nelson and her team get an A+.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at the dentist or doctor. I haven’t been to the dentist in 7 years, largely due to a bad experience. Haley (hygienist) was super knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all of my questions. She even helped me develop a plan to get my dental health where it needs to be in the future. Blaine (dentist) was friendly and knowledgeable as well! I highly recommend this office. I never thought I would be happy walking out of a dentist office. Thank You Dental Touch!
